I had been driving my 4runner around all day today... I come home let it sit for a couple hours and decide to head to the beach. I go to turn on my truck and it turns on at a low idle and starts to die out so i turn the key forward again... then it just shuts off. I go to turn the key forward to turn it on and it acts as if there were no battery... My lights turn on and my battery is charged. To check my battery i tried jumping it and it still would even crank the motor... Any ideas how codes 41 and 51 would throw me off like this? I know 51 is the TPS, im not sure what 41 is... Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.!

Code 41 is your TPS
Code 51 is what toyota calls your switch condition signal. It is thrown when your a/c is on.

My AC doesnt work... But would the TPS cause my 4runner yo not even cank when i turn the key?

So the truck was running and you turned the key to "start"?

Now it doesn't turn over at all, yea? What is the voltage in your battery? Often times there will be enough volts to power lights and such, but not turn over the vehicle.

The truck was running fine. I let it sit for a couple hours and i go to turn it on and i turned the key forward but it was like if i didnt hold it long enough to comletely turn the car on. while it was idling down i turnedd the key again and it just make a noise like if my starter was going out. Since then it wont even crank the motor over. Its as if there is no battery. I tried turning it on while it was being jumped to another car and Absolutely nothing. And it started throwing 41 and 51... From what ive checked all the wire are good around the TPS. Any ideas???

Aghhh do i ate those stupid fixes that make you feel like the biggest dumba** out there. I go check out my starter and urns out the clip popped out. put the clip back in and starts right up.. FML. Thanks guys for the help. Lesson is dont over thing 2+2. Haha
