Unhappy Code 24/severe engine miss

So when I was muddin' on Friday my truck started lurching and bogging really bad after hitting some big water puddles. CEL came on and I got codes 13 (RPM signal, which I'm guessing may just be a by-product of the severe engine missing) and 24 (Intake Air Temp. sensor signal). The truck was not drivable for a while, but after letting it sit as well as unplugging the TPS and drying a little moisture out of it I did some more romping in it just fine, and it made it home fine. TPS is brand new, and I have ohm-meter tested both it and the VAF meter and they both check out good. I took out all the ignition parts one by one and took a blow-dryer to them to make sure they were dry, cleared the codes then drove around some more. It did fine for a while, then after coming around a turn I pushed the gas in 2nd and nothing happened for a second, then the CEL came on and the truck lurched a little, then continued down the road. Now the only code I have is 24. Could the intake air temperature signal really be the cause of the engine wiggin' out this bad. Any ideas of what could be other causes of this porblm? After a bit of research and tinkering I am at a loss as to what to do about this code/my problem. Signed up on this forum cuz I know you guys probably know what the heck you are talking about. Any help is really appreciated.

it's still misfiring?
the air temp sensor is used by the ecu to help determine fuel ratio
the rpm signal error implies a loss of signal between the ignitor and ecu

^It only gave me the rpm signal when it did it really bad, when it did it mildly it just gave me the 24. After taking the AFM apart, cleaning the temp. sensor with a little carb cleaner, and checking all the connections, it has not had a problem for the past couple days, but it's hard to say if it will do it again. We'll have to wait and see.
