Clutchs / Pressure Plates - Discussion

Currently looking into getting a new clutch assembly for my '91 2wd 22RE...and I've read the many testimonials about the Marlin kit, which is basically a stock disc and a pressure plate with more clamping force. I've seen some reference that Marlin has these pressure plates 'made', but I almost doubt that.

Being the inquisitive type I've done a few searches and found that there's quite the interchangability among clutch parts and some on here that are running various 22RTE, 3VZE and T100 clutch parts, not to mention that some of the Supra stuff seems to fit and work.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm assuming that Marlin has the insight as to what engine/tranny combo has which parts and his 'kits' are the best bits from Toyota's many offerings...and I'm just curious if anyone else might have some knowledge in this area. Anyone?

I can't really help you with your question, but I recomend marlins clutches. I run the HD v6 unit, best clutch I have ever had!
