so i got my 5 speed swap done tonight. and my clutch will not fully disengage. and i was wonedering if it would be cause i got the slave cylinder out of a 4 cylinder 4-runner and mine is a v6. and when i got the slave it did not move at all and i worked it untill it did.

1. Is the res full?

2. Did you bleed the system?

3. Can you see the slave moving?

4. When you push the pedal in, does the clutch slip or do nothing?
If it does nothing, it could be a seized pilot bearing. Did you check it?

yea me and my dad blead it and the fork moves but only like a quarter or a little more of an inch

you could have a bad slave there only like 20 buck you can get a whole clutch system for around 35

my master is brand new. but the slave is old.. so hopefully its somethin simple like that. instead of something gone wrong when i put the tranny in

Your pedal could need adjusting. If the pedal isnt pushing the piston rod in on the MC far enough your not moving the piston rod on the slave out far enough to move the fork IN enough... phew. lol

If you replace the slave, I reccomend OEM. This is more important if your replacing the MC .. for some effed up common reason.. the aftermarket masters tend to end up leaking, or at the very least squeaking (ugh) . true story.

i just bought my new slave today with lifetime warrenty for 11 bucks. hopefully it fixes the prob but ill check into adjusting the pedal.. thanx
