clutch master cylinder...clutch pedal

i resently installed master and slave for the clutch...(beckarnly)...newbie first time doing this job,,,
correct me if iam wrong..but for more clutch play do you turn the push rod to towards the driver seat..pulling it away from the cylinder) if so... my damn push rod is to long..(hahaha i wish)...
im a newbie,...but turning the push rod in this direction will pull it away from the cylinder giving you mor clutch play.....? before i had to push the clutch pedal to the floor...now (after installes) when i tickel 1st gear it pulls forward (slowly)...so the clutch fork is engaging/engaged.....?
when turned in this direction the pushrod bottoms out on the clutch pedal......

I have done this too often.

You may have the wrong one (master). the four clyinder is longer and the v6 is shorter. The rods are different too. rod length also goes by disc thickness. the thicker the disc the more trouble you will have making the rod longer so it actually releases. I have a NAPA disc make in China and its too thick. If you want more play make the rod shorter, but it still has to release.
