Thumbs down Cluking noise when coming to complete stop

I have a 88 4x4 22rec I have developed this clunking noise when I have come to a complete stop from driving 40 plus miles per hour. This clunk is when your vehicles forward momentum is stopped and the vehicle motion settles backwards. I can feel it as well in the brake pedal. It came about after doing a complete front end brake job replacing calipers, Rotors and CV boots and bearings on the passenger side.I also flushed the brake system. While diagnosing this problem I changed the Idler and Pitman Arms and removed the CV Shafts after finding a bad front axle bearing but still have the noise. I could sure use some feed back on this issue not sure what to look at next front end is tight no play in control arms, ball joints, tie rods center link seem OK. Not sure what else to look at hoping someone out there has had similar problems. I am stumped at what to do next.

No pad clips just two pins with return spring and retaining a spring. I have had my truck 18 years this is a loud noise that you can feel in the floor and brake pedal. I was thinking could be left caliper or center link tie rod ends but don't want to be chasing a ghost that would get expensive.

A clunk that you can feel in the floor?
My clunks are usually parts in the bed or in the cab.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's your jack rolling around in the storage cubby.

Maybe a bad U-joint, although you wouldn't feel that in the brake pedal.

I've had something similar on my 92 4runner 2wd. In the past its done the clunking when I'm slowing down and I can feel it in the floor. TOday it got to a grinding noise and im the process of pulling the bearings out to check. So far I've got the dust cap and bearing out and turning the rotor I can hear a piece of metal bouncing around on the other side. Problem is I can't break the caliper bolts with my impact. Sheeat

I did find a solution to my problem and it turned out to be quite simple. I found the at he slip yoke on the drive line needed more grease. The slip yoke is the part of the drive line that slips in and out usually about 2 ft from the transmission. have a buddy rock the truck back and forth and hold the drive line and you should feel a slight thunk if so grease the hell out it. hope this helps.
