Chevy horn in '86 Runner
I found a horn out of a '74 Chevy 1500 and it sounds much better than the stock 'Yota one. I just cant figure out the wiring. The 4Runner horn has two wires and the chevy ony has onee on the horn. I tried hooking up the positive wire tothe horn and the negative to ground and the horn stayed on constant. If I just hook up the positive wire to the horn and leave the negative off nothing happens. I tried looking around on here and a couple of other forums but I couldn't find anything. (Probally becaust this is something very easy and I just can't figure it out.)

Thanks!! So, it is probally more work than it is worth trying to put that one in? Do you know of any other manufacturer that makes a decent sounding horn that I could wire in here a little easier? (I'm a little broke and was hoping to find something in the local junkyard.)

You can rig a relay for the electrical conversion, if you want to use domestic dime-a-dozen horns.
Bosch relays and sockets are relatively cheap.
Relay for $3.19
socket for $1.75
(Mazda does the same "ground to make circuit live" method in their RX-7s)
