just scored some bucket seats out of a 88 4runner for $20. now to bolt them in. Any suggestions on a center console that fits. do any of the tuffy lockable metal one work for a 90 pickup?

Tuffy doesn't make a console for Toyotas except for the FJs. But They make them for Sammys and older smaller Jeeps like the CJ5. Those are narrow vehicles like your pick up and one of them may fit with a bit of modification to the mounting hardware.
I'm looking to get one for the summer when my top and doors come off.

but there so expensive id rather just try and find an 89-95 console and put it in my truck.

hey in order to mount the seats in the 89 to 95 body truck u will have to relocate allmost all of the holes cause that body styled truck doesnt have all the mounting bolts and the pasenger side seat rails are shorter than the driver side i just put some 87 4 runner seats in an 86 pickup but the 84 to 88 body has all the holes to mount the driver seat an u will hafta still relocate the passenger seat rails

I made one from a 50 cal ammo box

I dont have any pics, sorry.

I welded a locking hinge on it. I also cut a board the same size as the top....went to an auto upholstery shop and asked nicely for some scrap foam and black vinyl and covered the top

Here's what I came up with for a console. Seats are gonna change soon though found a nice set in a Subaru SVX. Feel more comfy.

I have an 88 reg cab pickup wiht 95 4runner seats in it. Iam tying to find a center console too!!!
