Are chassis rail sleeves/stiffener/backin plate require for rear bar install
Hi all,
I pulled my old towbar off to install a kaymar rear bar. The old towbar had two bolts to the chassis with no backing plate, but it had an extra bolt to another mountin point down lower (about horizontal from the tow point). This would greatly increase the lever arm.
The kaymar only bolts to the chassis rail but it has a c channel that you fit inside the chassis rail.
My question is, is this required, and how the bloody hell do you get it in there without pulling the whole rear door off?
Cheers
