Can an 87 22re fit in a 93 pickup?
My daughters 93 pickup has a bad engine (do not know the exact details) and I was able to find a rebuilt 87 22re engine locally for a good price. Can this engine be put into the 93 without major adjustments? I tried to search the forum first for this but I was not able to find anything. Thanks in advance for your answers.

22re longblocks between 85-95 are completely interchangeable. You'll have to transfer everything from the 93 onto the 87's block and head, including the oil pan and pump pickup tube if one is 4wd and the other is 2wd.

Easy peasy.
My old 91 had the engine from an 86..
all the sensors wires, intake manifold was from the 91.
A friend of mine's 91 engine pooped out, we got an 88 22R and striped it to the block and head and put it into the 91, Viaola! 22RE.
Easy.
