A/C problem/repair/replace?
Well, I just pulled a vacuum on my A/C system. Let me re-phrase that. I attempted to pull a vacuum and it didnt hold. I was an A/C tech in the Marines so I am experienced with this kind of repair. However I have never done vehicle A/C repair. I dont know where it is leaking from and I dont have any nitro to charge it with to bubble test it. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to go about this repair? I am thinking of just soldering in a new compressor and seeing what happens. But I hate to stab in the dark. Thanks for the advice!!!

Charge it with some refridgerant/dye mix and look for the color leaking out, it could be multiple places. Change the o-ring or component with the leak(s). Change the dryer (up front, driver side, a cylinder that is maybe 8 in long and 2 inches in diameter). When you change the dryer add some AC oil into it as per the FSM. Recharge and enjoy.
