Buying 1988 sr5 4x4 xtra cab

Hi, I hope I've posted this in the right section.

What is this truck worth to you?

He is asking $6500..

I appreciate your opinions

he wants 6500 for something that has a salvage title and has 270k miles........ this is a prime example of why you dont do drugs...... maybe 3k?

It appears to be a clean truck, although paint can cover a lot of stuff... Not saying that's the case, and I personally don't think it's worth the $6500 he wants. Like was said, $3000 is in the right ballpark. But I am Wabbit cheap...

$3,000 if it didn't have the salvage title. With a salvage title I'd be more like $2500 or less. These trucks aren't worth their weight in gold, and while yeah, it is clean, there are plenty more out there being sold by people who don't actively hit the crack pipe while posting them on craigslist.

Yeah, way too much for that one. My '88 interior is rough (sun baked), the paint is original, no rust and no mechanical issues. I paid $2,000 about 1 1/2 years ago, just put shocks, tune up, and a new throttle sensor so less than 2500 into it. I would pass on that one.

great looking truck, but not worth that price when your looking at engine work in the future.

even a 22re will only last so long before it needs some love.

Agree with all the above; WAY too much for that truck, salvage title, & that many miles.
