bug shield
I get a crap ton of bugs here so I'm trying to find a bug shield for my 86 4runner but am having no luck.
Does anyone know where they have them? or if they even exist?

I have one i'm not sure where it came from but it has a metal rail at the bottom and then is a semi hard plastic stuff on top. But it helps a ton even though sometimes i think it looks retarded but it does its jobs and it reduces the rocks on your windshield to!

There is another option. Just check the pic of the Tacoma.
It is half bra/ half deflector. I bought one for an 88 4Runner that the PO left leaves decaying behind the plastic deflector, so the paint in that section was ruined. I know if you have a nicely painted hood, this will wear through the clear coat. But mine was shot, and it was cheaper then repainting the hood. I just took it off everytime I washed it and cleaned out most of the dirt, and I never had a problem.
Call them when you order. They sent me the wrong one stating they didn't make one for a 1st gen 4Runner, even though its an option on the page. The one pictured on the Tacoma on that webpage fits perfectly, tell em you want that one.

If you can find one of the straight, flat, tall ones that look like something your Dad would put on his truck to haul the camper to Florida, grab it. Heck, grab me one!
The curved, molded ones don't do a damn thing for keeping bugs off the windshield. I live in bug country, too. It's gotta be pretty tall to work.
