Question Broken

I broke the front passenger side axle on my 89 4runner. Im gonna replace the axle assembly on both sides because i can hear the joints bind up on the driver side sometimes. is there anything aftermarket available? would you recommend going aftermarket, used or new replacement? thanks

Or... You could do lots of grinding welding and swearing and put 3 very cool letters into your cool signature.

not everybody can afford an SAS, mang, and sometimes it's not all that practical to some people.

if ya look at the size of the aftermarket axles from autozone/oreiley's...they are quite a bit bigger in diameter than stock ones...although im not sure if they are actually stronger LOL.

i say go aftermarket..but i'm a cheap bastard..hahahaha

How much are your torsion bars cranked or are you running BJ spacers? I've torn boots but never grenaded a cv. Buddy of mine had the torsions Cranked of his wifes 4rnr to run 35's, he broke cv's everytime he locked the hubs. But then again he broke birfield like toyota was paying him to change them out on his rig.

Look on CL you can find cv axles usually pretty cheap, I got 2 for $30.
