Broke stuff!!

Out getting wood yesterday(did I mention the trail to get to my wood lot is horrendous), and busted the lspv rod, and ripped the front sway bar mount right off the frame on the drivers side. I know how to fix the sway bar thing...easy out the busted bolts, get a new mount clamp, and bolt it back together(I know...easier said than done), but what about the lspv rod? I'd prefer not to just tie it up outta the way...it's there for a reason, and would like it to function. So...how do ya suppose I fix it?

Heres the pix... first one is the sway bar....

and the lspv rod

Sorry for the quality, tough to get a good pic under there. Any thoughts on the lspv? I might just try welding it to the brackett.

hehe, guess I should load a little lighter next time....

why do you need it? do you tow with this rig ? because all that does is tell the rear to break more under allot of weight to be honest i took mine off when i puled my axle and i never saw a diffrence as for the sway i would try taking it off first to see if you get really bad body roll if you dont leave it off it will be better off road anyways

It's got nothing to do with body roll, it controls hydrolic pressure to the rear brakes...more load = more rear brake pressure = more effective rear brakes, with out it, you would be giving the front and rear 50/50, which would mean my rears would quickly lock up if I had to slam on the brakes.... Sorry I would prefer to have it in working order.

There is just something sexy about a Toyota stacked full of firewood and a chainsaw in the back.
