Every time I shut off the truck I hear a hissing noise coming from the booster. So I figured it had leak in it and went and bought a new one but it's still hissing. And the truck dies whenever I hit the brakes. Any suggestions??

Replace the check valve on the end of the hose where it plugs into the booster.

There's a different part depending on 22re/3VZE (see why you list your engine type when asking a question?), so use your VIN to assure you get the right part.

You mean, Dorman 80189? It doesn't look like it will fit.

That DEFINITELY looks like it won't fit (1/8" x 1/4" http://www.dormanproducts.com/itemde...8&SEName=47149). But go ahead and measure the line yourself.

I think that Dorman check valve might work for very-low flow applications like the PAIR or ADD. I can't imagine it carrying enough flow to actually work the brakes.

You need a brake booster check valve, not an emissions control check valve which is what the above post is linked to.
