brake anti-rattle springs...
I have a quick question here for you guys...
I just did my font brakes when I did my front bearings and hub rebuilds. Now when I tore everything apart, one side did not have a spring at all, and the other side had half of one, lol, it was so rusted it must have just broken apart.
Now I picked some up the other day at the parts store, and just this Sat I bought some new wheels, and while I had the fronts off between switching wheels, I installed the springs (after figuring out how the darned things go on...)
Now here's what threw me off...
I was just browsing through WabFab's web site, and something cought my eye in the background on the "brakes" page...
now what I'm looking at is the caliper and brake pads with 2 anti-rattle springs on it!
Are there suppose to be 2 springs on each side? According to my repair manual (which I'm not saying it's always right; it is a Haynes after all), there's only one per side. Is there any need or purpose to having 2, or did I just catch sight of something on line that really wasn't meant to be pictured on the site?
