bottom end rebuild. help
i just noticed a bad knock in my truck. would it be easier to pull the motor or what would i have to do to rebuild it in the truck.

I would recommend pulling the engine out. You can usually find a shop that rents engine hoists for cheap. I found a place 20min away from me that rented to me for $33/day. You can get a nice engine stand for about $100 also.
Pull it out, return the hoist, rebuild, get the hoist again, put it back in.

way way way easier to pull from what ive gathered over my time reading about rebuilds. At least with it pulled, you can move it around, everything will be easier.

yea iv got an A frame to pull it out with. i just need a motor stand. you think since its out i should to the rings.. the top end has already been rebuilt
