Body lift question

Im in the process of installing a body lift on my 93 pickup.

I wondered if it was a problem that the cab was just slightly forward. I pushed and lifted it and pushed some more but couldn't get it to slide back just slightly like maybe a centimeter...any ideas? Unless you don't think it will be a problem. Maybe I'm just being a perfectionist, lol.

Here are some pics of the front two mounts (the ones just behind the front bumper) so you can see what I mean :

Why didn't you replace those dry rotted rubber bushings? Just going to wait for them to crumble away?

I hope the rest of the cab bushings don't look like that if you reused them.

How much work was the installation vs the gain from 2" of lift? I'm thinking of going a little bigger for tires but I don't really want to alter the IFS because the truck is 90% daily driver. Did you have any problem with things like wiring and controls that go from the cab to the frame?

Installation was fairly straightforward. I'm by no means experienced, but was able to do it on a saturday (probably about 6 hours). From what I've heard (mostly from Robert M) the 2" of body lift is essential if i want to avoid tires rubbing - I'm going to be putting on 235 75/15. We'll see soon (haven't put the tires on yet) but I think the body lift will save me from having to crank the stock torsions up and ruin the ride. (I plan to get some sway aways when i have the money though)

I had no problems with 2" - 4crawler off road says 2" is the most before you start having to do mods. He has an amazing write up that I used the whole way through it so I would check it out for sure. he gave me an adapter bracket for the front bumper and radiator, but i didn't even need the radiator one. Ill probably put it on soon anyway just so that i can get max efficiency from the fan though - i had to remove the lower portion of the fan shroud. I also plan to get the drive shaft 1" extension but i could get away without it TBH.

I put in the urethane kit. Fourwheelparts or Summit Racing.

Always replace those UV-wasted rubber bits!

But fyi: 235s fit without any mods. 31s will fit now with your 2" blocks.
