blown front diff
i just got this 88 truck recently and the guy i got it from said it needed a hub...turns out the front diff is shredded. when i put it in 4wd and only lock the driver side hub its fine, then when i lock the other side, clunk. so i was wondering would i be able to throw a spool in it and still run the axle? or should i just go to the junk yard and pull a whole axle assembly? i was just there and i know they have a few.
here is what i scraped out of my diff

ok, ya im thinking ill just nab an axle from the junkyard. its cheaper than a spool anyways. so i was looking at my axle, (sorry i havn't searched for this yet) but where does it say what the gearing is? on my jeep axles it has a little tab that says it... thanks guys
