bj spacers coil spring spacers
i want a mild lift(2 inch) and i was wondering what the pros and cons of doing ball joint spacers and coil spring spacers and what else would i have to get if i do this.

i have the same lift except i have 2inch AALs in teh rear. i think its teh perfect lift. chepa and gets the job done. pretty much teh only cons ive found are teh ride is a littel stiffer and cv angles a littel higher. all i got was teh bj spacers and AAL.

The CVs will be fine, the angle is just a little steeper. I'm going to respectfully say that the coil spacers aren't the greatest idea. I can see in your pic that you have some epic sag going on in the rear. The problem with the spacers is that you're still using that old saggy spring, so I'd say just go for some upgrades OME springs. You'll want them not long after the coil spacers and why not just do it now? The BJ spacers are a good idea. and yes you will need some new longer travel shocks.

I have coil spacers in the rear of my rig, I like em, but my rear end sag wasn't as bad as yours, but bad enuff. The coil spacers gave me a slight rake, which I wanted.

BJ spacers- they don't restrict compression travel so larger tires might fit fine at rest but may rub when you hit bumps.
Coil spacers- a4runnerfreak touched on it. Spacers in the rear would likely only bring the rear end up to stock height. To actually get lift over stock would require new springs, or new stock springs with the spacers.

lol i already got new moog(any good) coils, first thing i fixed when i got the runner.. but would it be worth it to do the spacers or save up and get a whole kit

If you have new moog coils installed, and they brought you back to stock height, you will need to get longer brake lines if you wanted to add the 2" coil spacers. Also would have to get new rear shocks to accommodate the added lift in the back. You can buy shocks that are for 0-2" lift, or longer if you went higher.

I have BJ spacers in front and 2" OME springs in the rear. New Rancho shocks on all 4 corners. I'm very happy. It's the best way to go for minor modifications. Throwing on a 1" body lift would be nice too, but the spacers, springs and shocks are really the way to go.
