Best headlights

What do you guys think are the best headlights to get?

Not talking about HID either. Just ones that go in without any mods.
I know there is another thread somewhere with something like this, but cant find it.

if its the 4runner in your sig theres not much you can do ... you could try some silverstar ultra's and upgrade the wiring harness

Ya. It is. I saw some bad reviews on silverstar and saw some suggestions of something else, but cant remember what.

Osram silverstars are good too, if you can get a hold of some. Sylvania silverstars have the blue coating on the bulb so they aren't as effective. Plus they burn out really fast, supposedly.

??? you do realize the company is called osram sylvania right?

I've had silverstars, and theyre brighter than regular bulbs, but burn out extremely quickly.

not sure on the 95,but If it has the 200mm sealed beam bulbs your best bet is to get new headlight housings which can have bulbs plugged into em. yes, i realize you said no mods, but its the same amount of work as changing a sealed beam.

My 92 4runner has composite head lights, so hopefully the 95 does too. I've had luck with the silverstars, but I also got rid of two of the locating tabs inside the lens and swapped the high beam and ground wires so I can run 9007 bulbs instead of the 9004's. I believe it to be a better light pattern, but it also has to be aimed fairly low.

I'm happy with my silverstar ultra's. They were ~$42 at my local Pep Boys, but they're so much brighter than the lame stock replacements. You can also give one of these a try: http://autolumination.com/headlights.htm

I have the 9004 Silverstar Ultras in my 94 4runner, had them like 2 years now. I used latex gloves to install them, you should use gloves from the second you open the package to when you are done installing them.
Any oil from your skin will cause a hot spot and burn out your bulbs prematurely. These do throw a much better pattern than the stock 9004's they replaced which were very yellow and dimmer overall.
I'm very happy with the Silverstar Ultras, got them on Amazon.com for $30 on sale.

I dont see the ad about headlights.

Yes it is for the 95 4Runner in my sig. It has composite. The bulb comes out, not the lens.

So far im seeing Sylvannia, Osram Night Breakers (Sylvannia?), and PIAA

What PIAA model would I need? Any idea?
Or a link to a site that would say.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for all the posts.

Ive got some 100/80w "off road only" bulbs that are in my truck right now. They are way better then the Sylvannia's ive used in the past.

I got em at knechts for $12 a piece. When looking for bulbs i usually looks for the highest wattage ones.

I posted a thread on here a while back about em. I forgot what its called, i think"new headlights" or something like that.

Yes, the company is osram sylvania, but they produce two different silverstar bulbs, one under the sylvania brand name and one under osram. The osram one is the better of the two.
