Basic High Quality Suspension
Any recommendations on the best quality suspension for a '91 2WD pickup w/ a 22RE. I do not need to lift at all. I'm just spoiled on my other vehicles and would love to have the truck ride and handle as best as possible.

What type of handling do you mean, off or on road?
Fabtech has a decent kit but is a bit stiff if you crank it for the 2.5" lift it advertises. Total Chaos has (what I hear) an almost bullet-proof long travel kit also but is pricey. I've heard mixed about Downey's kit.
I've got the Fabtech on my '91 2wd/22re/auto and it actually rides like a truck now- subtle bumps are responded to a bit too firmly but whoops are sucked up and the truck comes up without bouncing.

Well, no other '2wd chimers' for on-road so...
on road:
front- stock torsion bars. urethane control arm and sway bar bushings. shorten the sway arm end links 1" and use urethane bushings. relax the torsion bars so you have 1/2" spacing on the upper bump stops (compression) and install urethane compression bushings on the shocks to ramp up 'jounce'. Set the alignment to 1/16 toe-in, camber to -.5 degree (top of wheel in), caster at where it sits. urethane bushings on the strut rods.

front- total chaos long travel suspension set up with everything else as I mentioned above except for 1" spacing on the compression stop.
rear- torque-reactive limited slip differential (torsen type), stock springs with load and last leaf removed and 2" lift shackles, urethane bushings on the spring eyes, 28mm anti-sway bar with urethane bushings.
just kidding, I was making that up. But I bet it'd be something to play with.

Replace with NEW stock suspension...sounds like thats what you are looking for...just find a pair of junkyard springs that are in better shape than yours or just slap an add a leaf on em
