bad sound from front end

hey all, just got my timingbelt fixed and is running great, however i have developed a nasty grinding noise coming from the FR area, only does it at low speeds ( 30-60km/h), doesnt seem to do it nearly as bad in 4WD but i dunno if that has anything to do with it, i thought i could be bearings or cv axles but i looked at the boots and they arent ripped so their still sealed, anybody else got any ideas? i havent lifted it yet and taken the wheel off to inspect it yet, the truck still drives fine and doesnt affect drivability at all, just a loud grinding noise and minor vibration

Could be so many things. Check wheel bearings are not loose. Jack up the front & spin the wheels & see if you can replicate the sound. .

That the sound is coming from and bearings were first thing i thought then i thought cv's because it doesnt do it under throttle in 4wd hardly at all only in free spin, gotta get it up in the air and inspect it tomorrow

Does the noise change when making a hard turn at slow speeds? Does the noise change with engine speed or wheel speed?

I am not sure if the 92's still had the brass spindle bushings or not, if your truck has manual hubs and they are unlocked then this is not the problem, but if you have the automatic hubs then it could be something to look into, I have the brass bushing noise in my truck when the hubs are locked in, it is a grinding noise at slower speeds, there is a tool that you can build to lube the bushings, do a search and you should find it.

Pop it off, repack, rebuild, reuse. Repeat.

It Seems to go away after about 5km, but speeds up with the wheel, not the engine, it has dreadful auto hubs and pretty much hoes away when turning, and line i said hardly ever does it in 4wd
