back firing problem

i have an 86 22r 2bbl 4x4 it keeps back firing when i shift how do i fix this its on a brand new motor so im getting worried about damage

It is back firine b/c there is fuel in the exaust pipe. Proably need to adjust the air/fuel ratio... or maybe timing off?? I'm sure someone will tell more.

I would double check the timing and make sure you use the jumper wire in the diagnosis box

its a mixture of timing and fuel ratio and exhaust leaks 500 ta get fixed
