Ive been reading about transfer case mounts and it looks like the aftermarket solid mounts cause high speed vibrations, not what I need on the interstate... Autozone sells a Duralast with a lifetime warranty for $108 and I can get an OEM Toyota for $110, does anyone have any info on the Autozone part??? Do you think its as good as an OEM or would you just stick with a Toyota part?

Sorry, this is for my 88 V6 Automatic 4x4 ext cab pickup My stock mount with almost 200k on it is pretty loose, I can shake the transfer case around by the drive shaft, which is probably why its shifting kind of hard and the shifter is bouncing around when I hit bumps on the wonderful WV back roads!

For $2 dollars more, I would go with the Toyota part.

Thats what Im thinking but Im wondering if the Duralast part is made by the same OEM MFG.... The only good thing about Autozone parts is the lifetime warranty!

that may be the "good thing". The bad thing is they are not close to the quality of a Toyota part. While your lifetime warranty part can be exchanged, I'd rather go with the part that wont leave me stranded in the first place.

This is about as no brainer as it gets.

You are correct about the solid mounts, they cause a lot of vibration, both of mine do.

As mentioned, get the Toyota mount

for that price I would go OEM,or you can try rock auto for a better price on the aftermarket.

I got a V6 tranfer case mount that is OEM from schucks/oreilly for my 4cyl. @ $ 76.oo pretty good price.

Stay away from Duralast parts. I wrote a thread on a starter I had purchased there years ago and ultimately had to replace it 4 times before I got my money back. At the time I wasn't worried because it was a lifetime warranty and I could just keep getting new ones but in the end I wished that I would have originally purchased it from toyota. I will never waste my time/money on a duralast part again. Since then I have had a toyota starter and it has been going strong for about 3 years.

Get the Toyota OEM mount. The HD mounts are for rockcrawling applications not dd stuff.

I'm thinking of a solid mount but thats only because I've got dual case with one being 4.7. Even with solid motor mounts (Marlin bolt trick) I get engine turn when playing on the rocks with both cases in low.

Why not look for a used OEM. FYI the mounts are supose to have flex. You should look for signs of seperation, dry rot, rust, ......

Yep. 4.7 gears and dual cases are a whole different story.
