Auto to manual swap
So Im getting ready to swap my 85 over from auto to a manual transmission. I found a w56 (I believe to be a C) at the junk yard in a 91 pickup. Although it has the forward shift T-case. Would I still be able to use it as 85-88 used top shift t cases?

My 4Runner was missing the original trim around the shifters, and the boots were in bad shape, so I built a custom cover for the tunnel, and used an ammo can for the console. It's actually still a work in progress, since I haven't added the cupholders yet.....doh. It will be done soon, however.

Mine came out of a 91. Not sure how many miles. Are you talking about the crossmember? From what Ive read, the crossmember itself is the same but the rubber mount is different. Im doing dual cases at the same time
