Auto to Manual?
How hard is it to switch an auto 88 Runner to a manual tranny? Im looking at a very clean Runner that the only down fall is that its an auto. I have two 88 Runners that I have for parts. Is it a simple swap? - Ben

yea its labor intensive but not hard. Really all you'll need is the flywheel, clutch, transmission, pedal assy, cylinders, brake pedal (smaller one), and a few other things.
The issue is going to be wiring, you can just wire around the NSS, or you can run it to the pedal switch, the reverse lights will have to be run down to the switch on the tranny.

Thanks for the replys and the search work. Thats why I love this site. This is the Runner that Im looking at. The only problem its automatic but its got to be one of the cleanest ones Ive ever seen.
