Got everything for the chevy spring swaap for my 86 runner, skyys kit and Got the springs off of craigslist for $50, dunno the exact year, but theyre apparently one of the newer years past like 06 or somethin.. They have 2 leaves plus an overload.. I cant really find any info on em, cept like one or two posts on pirates thread.. But they look exactly like these.. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showp...&postcount=769

This might help, but it only goes up to '06.

did you complete the swap? any issues?

I already had the 63" chevy swap on my '85 but recently got rearended and it bent a spring. the replacement set i got came off of an '01 2wd 1/2ton with the 2+overload setup you describe. im debating taking them back for that rusty 3+overload set they had on a '92 lol

I already put them on.

A side by side comparison to the 3+ol set I had on this truck showed they have the same arch. The chart linked above says they have the exact same spring rate so no surprise that the ride hight between the two pairs was the same. the 3+ol did sit 3/8-1/2" higher due to the extra thickness of the spring pack and that 3rd leaf.

I've only had a chance to take it out for one light wheeling trip but the 2+ol pack seems to be possibly a bit softer/flexier in the rocks. The lack of info out there originally had me second guessing these springs but now I'm happy with my choice to go with them. I just wish it wouldn't have taken the truck being rear ended making me need a new set of leafs

Thats a relief then, I was thinkin that theyd be stiffer.. Cant wait to get em on eventually, so sick of this jarring ride i have now.. the springs i got, were off a guy on craigslist, and he said they only had about 30-40,000 miles on em, so i was worried theyd be super stiff and not flex at all with that as well..

newer springs might take a little time to really loosen up but im positive you will love the ride quality regardless. this is the 3rd set of 63" chevys ive had on 2 diff trucks and they all have rode nice and smooth.
