the problem with a machine shop is i do not want to have to dismount the freshly balanced tires
and with the die grinder i thought that would take too long

well its not gonna be fast lol, but shouldn't take forever

maybe few hours to do all 4..

you could use a torch, or a plasma cutter. but i don't know if the heat will mess up the strength of the wheel?

Haven't done it in a while and then it was an aluminum rim, but a cup saw works great. You need to bolt a piece of wood to the back side of the rim using the bolt holes so the pilot bit has a way of starting and staying centered. It takes a couple minutes per rim and no need to remove the tire.

die grinder with about 6 rotory files. try to find something where you can turn the wheel while you hold the d/g still. that way you'll have a consistant finish

If you can find a machine shop with a decent size mill they can bore the center without taking the tire off the rim.
But I cant see it taking to long with a die grinder if you had to do it that way.

Use an engine cylinder honing tool or ridge-reamer?
(actually, that should keep the hole round too)
