Another Gear Question
I have a 88 4runner 22RE w/ 35's and 4.10's. I can barely use 5th gear on flat roads and I'm sick of it.. What I've read so far is for a DD with 35's you wanna run 4.88's. The thing is I will be downgrading to 33's within the next year, but I want to do gears now. My question is how will I like 4.56's and 33's for a DD? Will I be able to use 5th gear and get better gas mileage? Thanks for you input..

You will see a minor increase in both running 33's on 4.56's. 4.88's are the correct ratio for the tire size you wanna run. I'd go with the '88's. 4.56's are for 31's.....
