Alternator Upgrade: Idle Amps?
i have to replace my alternator due to failure
i'm probably going to put in an alternator from a 7m-ge
i wanted to ask what is a good idle amperage for a stock vehicle, running
a/c max, typical stereo with aux in, etc. ?
also, can anyone post pics of any fabricated bracket used to fit an alternator?
how hard is it to make the bracket?
what's been used in the past ? etc
cheers

Search for Boyle Future Tech on here. Use your alternator (or one that goes on your engine) and avoid the bracket/wiring issues.
I had them rebuild mine with a priority on idle amps. It makes >60A at idle and 120A or so by 1500 RPM (they will actually provide a "cert" showing what yours does)
