are all pitman arms equal??
Getting ready to get the front end all back together and need to replace the pitman arm because we had to destroy the joint on the trail to make a fix to get the truck out and home.
Just wondering if there is any problem with getting an Autozone/Napa Pitman or should I be looking for something else. Prefer one with a zerk if possible. Anyone know a part number from somewhere off hand with a grase-fitting?
Truck has 4"lift / 33" tires if that matters.

I had issues with one from advanced, but it was the cheapest available. It didn't have the marks to line it up on the spline shaft so that was a guessing game. The stud at the joint was longer than the original so I had to get creative to make it work. It did come with a zerk.

I got a Beck/Arnley pitman for $53 from rockauto and it turned out to be the OEM Sankei, right down to the "555" on the casting. It doesn't have a zerk, but it's a nice part.
They sell a Moog for 5 bucks more that does have a grease fitting - I'm sure that's a decent part. I have a Moog idler that works well, but I found it rusted up fairly quickly.

I went with napa/altrom for price but the salesguy said that he's seen oem pieces come out of the box too....mine wasn't oem. with the idler- what a cheap design, I drilled a hole in the body and put a zerk in it myself.
