Air Flow Under Hood 89 DLX LB 22R

I was wondering if anyone else is having air flow issues after removing the stock air cleaner and hose from the front grill. I have a K&N 14" filter on a 390 Holly 4 barrel. I was trying to figure out a way to force air toward the filter by using the factory hole and polyproplene hose. A down draft scoop cut in the hood would take care of the issue but then the truck would not look right IMHO.

LOL thats a great idea Allan if I did not drive it to work. I have air flow but not enough it will run 105 miles per hour in 3rd. I'm scared to go much faster in such a frame.

Make some ram air ducts near the bumper or grill to jam more air into the engine.

Or make up a cowl induction hood to let hot air escape thus pulling in more cool air.

put a hoodscoop on. You can get some nice looking ones, like off a 3rd gen 4runner...

Thanks, I was thinking about trying to get something from under the bottom there is not much air flow through the grill area the way its set up factory type.
The hood scoop is not they way I want to go since I wanted to leave the body as stock looking as possiable; But it may have to that way. I'm gonna test some different things.

Thanks for the help.
