Aftermarket Japanese Water Pumps
Hey all -
Ok, I'm having a little trouble locating an aftermarket, "made-in-Japan" water pump for my '88 V6. It appears that Aisin has discontinued theirs (not sure when, I'm just getting back into the Toyota truck game) - at least the version for the '88 (no oil cooler).
I have purchased NPW pumps in the past (made in Japan) for my Nissan Xterras, but the pumps for the 3VZE are getting harder to find. NAPA can sell the NPW pump, via their high-end supplier ALTROM, but they don't offer a gasket (OEM didn't use a formed gasket back in the day). I really want the Aisin gasket (actually metal with rubber sealing edges), but I can't find the part number (comes with the '89 and up pump with the oil cooler).
What are you guys using for water pumps? I don't want anything from China (which rules out everything else I can find).
Thanks!
