Aftermarket center console?
Greetings, I'm a first time poster but I thought that I'd share my new project with you guys and ask for a little help.
I'm in the middle of restoring my 1986 4-Runner DLX and would like to find an aftermarket center console with drink holders to replace the old box console. My seats are from an '89 and I can't find anything that looks like it will allow room for the seats to slide forward without any obstructions. I'm relocating the rear window control switches, so those won't be an issue, but I would like to leave the shifter boot trim stock. Any ideas?
Other things going into the body portion of this project are: vinyl flooring, new paint (with existing dents left untouched), herculiner rockers, Marlin Crawler rear bumper.
Engine and Tranny: rebuilt lower end, LC Engineering Top End Kit, LCE Header, LCE Pro Flo Exhaust, dual timing chain upgrade, clutch, Marlin Crawler heavy duty transmission rebuild kit.
Suspension: OME leafs, torsion bars and shocks, 31x10.5 Super Swamper TrXus Tires, Rock Crawler Series 51 wheels.
Thanks in advance for any tips that you guys can offer for the center console.

yeah I was thinking about buying the one that fits the sammy, but its too long to where you cant lean the rear seats forward and flat, I just used the measurements close to that box and made one the same size, but shorter and then ordered the cup holders from tuffy.

yea the Tuffy ones are nice but ungodly expensive...I made mine out of a 50 cal ammo can that I padded with some vinyl and pad (that I got for free/scrap) from an auto upholstery shop

I've yet to put/make a center console for my 87 pu, but for a cup holder im ussing a 99 cent thing i bought at autozone. Type you hang on your window, except i cut the hook off then drilled the cup holder into my floor right behind the shifters. Works great.
