AFM repairable?

My afm is bad. I bought a used one from a member here and it's doing the same thing. The ohm reading between e2-Vs is suppost to be 20-400 ohms while closed. These are both reading over 2000 ohms while closed. Is there any way to fix this or should I get my refund and just try another?

Get a refund and look for another one.
