AFM Ohm spike!

So my 22re has had a funky issue since I purchased it a few months ago. Once warmed up, or in "closed loop" I guess you would say, the truck stumbles a bit at a steady, non-accelerating speed (I can also memic the issue in neutral at a steady hold.) Its not terrible, no power loss and still drivable, but enough to make me absolutely crazy like I'm hitting little bumps my entire drive. IT DOES NOT DO THIS WHEN IN "OPEN LOOP." And trust me i've done my research. I started with the air filter, did the fuel filter, new o2 sensor, tested the TPS which appeared okay, the cap / wires / plugs are all new, and I also tested the AFM. Theres something funky about my results with the AFM that made me write this post. While monitoring the resistance between the E2-Vs contacts as I opened the plate slowly, there is a spike to over 1000 ohms and sometimes not readable about a quarter to midway through fully open. Did I find the damn culprit? Wanted a little encouragement from you guys to spend the money on a new AFM. PLEASE AND THANK YOU!

Sir you've answered your own question!

Make sure it's consistant and not the probes moving around?

Crack it open, clean the wiper and inspect the conductive strip for dead spots. It should be a nice smooth curve as you've already read.

"site:yotatech.com conductive ink" There are also internal photos floating around here.

If you are testing ohm readings while moving the vane they will fluctuate like a wave up and down, that is normal per the FSM. What you want to look for are sudden instant changes. Move the vane slowly and you can see the ohm readings go up and down smoothly. If not, something is wrong.

Measure its output voltage with the key on. It should move smoothly as you move the vane. Measuring the resistance is going to be confusing.
