Adjusting LSPV on '87 22R pickup?
Bought a new LSPV from the stealer today and am preparing to r/r. Is there a realistic way to adjust this whole thing without having the gauges? I installed an add-a-leaf some years ago and never figured out why I had to replace the front brake pads twice and still have 50% on the rear shoes....duh. The dealer said they don't adjust this valve using the gauges? Guess they don't care if the back brakes work or not? I understand how this works from all the geat info on this forum, but don't know if it's worth adding weight to the rear end and weighing both axles, etc., etc.? Is there a "ball park method" or do I get the gauges and do it right? Thanks in advance!
