Accelerator linkage bushing?

On the truck I am building, the "hook" on the accelerator linkage that mates to the carburetor seems to have a lot of play in the bracket it goes through.

I checked a Toyota parts diagram and found a part number for bushing that is obviously not present in mine.

Can I safely assume I need to order two of these? (The parts manual really just looks like one.)

Thanks,
Jay

Not sure where you mean but does this thread help at all?

The bushing he discusses in this thread was gone in mine. Much more responsive when I fixed that.

Thanks cjohnson, but the part I am talking about is on the other end of the throttle cable. I'm not sure how it worked on the 3.0 engines, but the bracket I'm talking about looks like a hook and mates up to the carburetor on the 22r.

I was having this issue and I believe the fix is using an eclip or the original retaining clip at the end of the hooked lever’s end after it is inserted into the carbs main lever linkage!!! After lots of frustration, I noticed the notch for a retaining clip at the end of the hooked lever will sometime stick in the carbs receiver/main throttle lever hole causing binding. When it is not jammed in the retaining clip slot, the assembly should feel a lot smoother without using a bushing as OP- and I- initially assumed. Hope this helps .
