ac condenser mod

i know this is a wierd question but im courious. i removed my ac pump from the motor, it just wasnt working right. so im left with 2 condensers and was wondering if i could use them as ether a motor oil cooler or for another water cooler before or after my turbo. damn turbo boils water and burns the oil so im trying to use what i have. would this work or no ? pros or cons ? thanks

I don't see why you couldn't. You would need to figure how to hook the lines up to it. Just make sure to flush it out with some brake clean & compressed air first. The only issue I see is that if you run oil through it then it may heat the radiator up & be hard to cool since it covers the entire surface. It's not going to explode or anything since it handle 300+ PSI of refrigerant. Additional water cooler should work great I would think.

Google & find out how hot refrigerant runs vs. engine oil, If it's similar temps then you should be good to go. Water for sure won't be an issue. Maybe a google search might even turn up something about this type of thing?

You could always ditch the condenser & just toss a oil cooler up there too. Or mount an oil cooler under the truck with a fan on it too. There are a bunch of different options.

This may help out, Many trucks have a built in tranny cooler & engine oil cooler in the radiator so I think your idea would work also as the temps should be OK. Anytime you can reduce your engines oil temp you are doing something good!
