95-4Runner Engine Cleaning
Aloha Guys,
I apologize if this is a waste of space. I am a total noob when it comes to cars. Lots of love, just no help.
I would like to know if anyone here can teach me how to properly clean the engine of a 1995 4Runner 3VZE (manual Trans).
I have some leaking going on and I would like to repair it as soon as possible. But I want to get it done right and I am unable to locate the source.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless

LOL. Scuba, that is some funny !
Tubbyfatty, thank you very much.
I guess i should be more specific.
I don't know jack about cars. I'm a total noob.
I posted here because i had already done a search on how to clean a car engine. the problem was, there are lots of links on how to clean, but many mention something about having to cover this or that part, and this or that connector.
Unless I am not trying hard enough, I haven't been able to find anything specific on cleaning a 1995 4Runner.
I just don't want to ruin my engine by spraying something that i shouldn't be.
So, i guess I was asking for instructions on what I need to protect when i do clean the 3VZE Manual Transmission engine of a 1995 4Runner.

heres the deal, dont get any water into the air intake tube (tube going from the right side of the top of the motor to behind the drivers headlight)
you get water in there and its not a good thing...
also, check the small black boxes behind the battery to make sure that they are clipped in place properly..
after that, just get some engine degreaser and spray away...
a good combo, if you have the resources, is to spray with degreaser (i prefer GUNK brand) then after about 10 mins of letting it do its thing, hit it with a steam cleaner... it will make EVERYTHING disappear...
good luck, and dont let scooby get you flustered... im pretty sure that he tells EVERY noob to search no matter what... its kind of a yotatech hazing thing or something...
