95 4Runner 3vze acceleration problems! HELP!!!!
I have had it! She looks immaculate in every way, but if I can't fix this thing soon the AR15 is gonna start barking fire at her till I fell better!( 2500 rounds should do it...)
I know that the 3vze is a slug and that's why call it the 3.Slo, but this is just way beyond that... it more like a 3.wontgo now...
I just finished rebuilding the entire motor and Im sure everything in there is fine... the compression is 163-166 in all cylinders, and it runs and idles great.... mechanically the engine is all in spec...
The issue I'm having is trying to drive it!! its runs EXTREMELY rich and has no power whatsoever... And is not showing any codes at all!! i can get it up to about 40 - 45 MPH , it just takes a while...
Any ideas? could really use a good think tank session about now!!
also, it has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, TPS has been tested and adjusted as per FSM. timing is at factoy spec, new fuel filter....
could the knock sensor be shot? or O2 sensor? I just figured id get a code if it were either one if them???

How many miles on the O2 sensor? They are pretty much out of spec by 100,000 miles. But that won't cause your rich fuel problem.
I'd guess an issue with the VAFM first. If not, then maybe it thinks the engine is cold & giving extra fuel. There are two coolant sensors, one in the TB, one at the coolant distribution block behind the intake next to the firewall.

I'm not sure how many miles are on it but it looks fairly new..... I got underneath and unplugged it and still no CEL or anything.... I'm going to ohm it out and see if its good.
