95 22RE 4x4 ECU problem or not?
I don't have power to fuel pump, couldn't get it started so I started trouble shooting, went ahead an replaced original fuel pump & efi relay, still no fuel and no power. Seem to me it would have to be ECU...89661-3D070 found an exact match on ebay for 40 bucks...plugged her in still no power at fuel pump could I have 2 bad ecu's????Now I have the fuel tank out and I am stuck in the drive way. Come on guys whats wrong with this thing, it never has failed to start in 210,000 miles....HELP

AS for the Circuit open relay, you're not talking about the 2 fuses which one is for the a/c I think because I have the glove box out and checked those, while I was working on ECU?

do you have power at the relay?if so fix the broken wire going to pump.if not work backwards toward ecm.GM uses a check wire that can be externally powered to check pump operation, dont think toyota does.but find out if you have power to relay before anything

Tim a & DeathCougar, thanks first off, I have an 07 Tacoma but I am going to sell it an go back to driving my 95 xcab 4x4, but I have to get all this stuff fixed. I think the primary problem is I haven't driven it much the past year and it sit for about 2 months didn't even start it. And when I went to start it it wouldn't start at all so been trying to trouble shoot it since. So I will look for broken wire, check all you've suggested over the holiday weekend and reply back later. How do you know if you have a bad relay? And how do you check via the diagonostics connector my the fuse box is there pins for the fuel pump? I have over 200K miles on this truck and I want another 100K. Thanks again

ok,you have power at relay.if you had started at that point first you would have saved a lot of cash, but we all learn the tough way.fab up a jumper wire to complete the relay circuit and listen for the pump to kick on.If it doesnt take the pump wiring out at the tank and see if you have power. If not splice a new wire into where the hot lead should be and run it back up to the relay box and plug to the hot side.pump should run.then splice into the corresponding wire under relay box.good luck and remember simple steps first.the ecm is hardly ever at fault.and the FSM is probably the greatest investment you can make for your truck.it walks you through these things step by step.
