'94 Toyota V6 pickup dies at an idle
I have a 1994 Toyota pickup v6 that dies at an idle but when I drive it runs fine, as soon as I come to a stop it sputters and dies within seconds if I don't give it gas. I would like to clarify there is NO vacuum leak. I have no idea what else would cause it to die only at an idle. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

maybe a vacuum leak. can you hear hissing from the engine at idle? a smoke machine is best for finding leaks, but i doubt you have one of those laying around. if i don't have my smoke machine, i like using brake cleaner to find leaks. just start spraying it around the intake and all vacuum hoses and the intake hose and see if the idle raises. some will whine and say this is a bad idea, but as long as you do it on a cool engine and keep it away from the distibutor cap you should be fine. i ain't burnt one down yet...

You can also use an unlit propane torch to check for vacuum leaks. Make sure you check under the air intake hose at the throttle body. Easy spot to miss, but likely to crack or split.
