depends on what u want it for. If u dont wheel that much and drive it every day then Ifs would be your best bet. under 1000 before u buy tires. all tho since u even mentioned sas leads be to believe that u r thinking about it and from everyone i have talked to if u even ever think about it u will end up sas it sooner or later . Dont put any money into ur ifs. wait, save money, cut it out and sas it. I made the mistake of dumping 1200 into my frond end with limited slip new gears and a 4 inch lift 3 years ago and now i have a straight axle sitting in my back yard waiting to go under my front end. the sas project can be done four under 1500 if u do the work yourself and buy a kit to install. Way less more maintence that ifs and much stronger. JUST MY $0.02

Then you have to figure in the price of labor to install, new tires/rims possibly, driveshaft work, regearing for the new larger tires/rims, lockers, armor, etc
It is a snow ball.

If you have to ask, you don't need a SAS. PERIOD.
For trail riding, throw some 33x10.50 on there and call it good. If you're desperate to spend some money, gearing and lockers will get you MUCH farther than a lift/big tires ever will.
