how do i remove the power steering pump pulley?

It's a real PITA. You'll need to take off about4 or 5 bolts to get it completely off. Replacing or rebuilding? Try the '93 FSM sticky at the top of this forum page.

I recently pulled off the pulley as part of a head gasket job. I first tried a puller, but the pulley metal is way too weak for that. Here is what worked for me:

Liberally soak the shaft with the penetrating oil of your choice (I prefer Kroil).

Remove the nut, if you have not done so already.

I found that a pickle fork would fit behind the pulley, and pressure the thicker part of the pulley close to the shaft.

Put the nut back on the shaft to the point where the leading threads are not quite through the nut. This will protect the threads.

Place light leverage on the pickle fork, and tap lightly on the nut. The pulley should work its way off. Keep applying the penetrating oil.

Remember that many small taps are much safer than a few harder taps.
