94 p/u speedometer probs???
Ok, first off.... 1994, 4wd, 22re, 5speed. My speedometer, nor odometer has never worked since I've owned this truck. I read some threads on here today, just came back in from checking the sensor on the tranny. The gears look fine, I was wondering if there is a way to zero out the sensor as the prob, b4 I went and bought another, OR do you guys think it may be something else, THANKS

i guess cuz its newer it has an electric spedo, im sure theres a why to test the spedo with an ohm meter or something, look through the FSM thats listed at the top of the forum, sure it will tell you how, ide look through mine but i have one for 85-

Negative, it is still cable driven.

theres wires that run all the way back from the intruments to your tranny which is where the sensor is located i had the same problem only my wires were disconnected or stripped in half however you want to put it but anyways the sensor was still good

the older ones are cable driven, the newer one are electric, not sure of the year they changed. I had a 86 w/ this same problem, but w/ any easy fix(replace the cable)
