94 Bucket seat compatibility question...

Does anyone know what year model and make bucket seats will bolt straight up to stock bench seat bolt holes in an extra cab 94 SR5 4x4.
I would like to replace my crappy bench seats.
Thanks

None that I'm aware of. You will at least need to drill the inner two holes.

Yep you'll have to drill at least a couple holes.

By the looks of your mod list it shouldn't be to hard.

Heres some Pathfinder seats I put in my reg cab.

I dont suppose 94 4 runner seats will work in a 94 SR5 ext. cab??
I suppose I will have to drill anyway.

I could be wrong, but I thought I saw a thread on here that the owner of a ext. cab found the proper bolt holes under his carpet to just bolt in 4Runner seats. You might wanna take a good look under your floor, or poke around with a long pin, and see if that hole already exists. Again, IIRC, it was already threaded... just the carpet was covering it.

That would be sweet!!!
I will tear that carpet out in the morning. It is starting to look like a science project is going on on that carpet.
Thanks for the help.

I recently installed '94 4Runner buckets in my '93 extra-cab to replace my 60/40 split-bench seat.
The passenger side was a direct bolt-in.
The driver side was not.....the holes near the door were fine, the rear inner-most hole I swapped around with the seat belt bracket and that worked.
The front inner-most hole was there but, it didn't have the nut welded to the backside so I had to get a nut for the bolt and it was difficult to hold onto....not much room.....plus I had to slit the carpet.
Hope this helps!

I own a '93 ext-cab, and I switched from the 60/40 bench to SR5 buckets. In my case, it was a straight bolt in affair with no extra holes drilled.

The passenger side drops right in, and on the driver's side 3 of the 4 bolts line up and the 4th (right front - next to the shifter) is hidden under the carpet.

I added 2 washers underneath the inner rear bolts (the rear seat bolts next to the center console) to level out the seats. I used the original driver's seat belt and mounting hole - thats why the seatbelt looks low on the driver's side.

I don't recall what year Runner the seats came out of, but any 89-95 should do. Hope the pics help.

PICS:

From what I remember reading, if your looking for TOYOTA seats, the seats to look for are from a 1992 4Runner Sports package. They're reportedly the most comfortable seats to ride in and they offer a lumbar support.

All you need to figure out what will fit is a tape measure and a little time.

The pathfinder seats I put in replaced a bench seat so I had to drill 1 hole per seat. It's really not that big of a deal even if you have to drill a hole or 2.

I have a 89 pickup (bench) and swapped in buckets from a 1990 2-door 4Runner. I did not have to drill the inner holes by the trans tunnel. But I did have to put a nut on the bolt, as the hole that was present is not threaded. I used the seatbelts from the 4Runner and had to drill those holes as nothing was in that location.

If you are converting to Toyota sport buckets all the holes are actually there [for the seat that is] as crowley mentioned the front inner is under the carpet. The rear inner you will be using the 60/40 bench seatbelt anchor bolt. The bucket seatbelt anchor is capped off with a piece of welded sheet metal if you pull up the carpet before you mount the seat you will see the hole in the inner layer of the floor pan on the hump opposite the pax seatbelt. The seatbelt bolts are 11mm fine thread speacially made for seatbelt anchors and not generally available. You may need to up size to a 12mm size or similar IMO use grade8 coated hardware only and you should be ok.

I just got a 92 4Runner with the Sports Package. I have an 89 ExtraCab. The seats swapped almost perfectly. The rear inner bolt didn't line up, the mount is just a bit further back in the pick up, but other than that, it worked perfectly. And, as EWAYota said, the 92 ARE the most comfortable. I just sold a 92 4Runner and I loved the seats. When I got the pickup, I missed the seats, but now I got the other 92 4Runner for parts, so I'm lovin life again.
