93 22RE blown engine or?
Hello, thank you for taking the time to read my post.
My 93 22re was driving fine with a slight "knock" that it had prior to and after my replacing the timing chain, water pump, and oil pump. While driving, the engine temp gauge suddenly shot up, the truck sputtered and then literally lost all power while going down the highway. Never steamed or smoked...but the knock was very loud as I came to a halt around 5 miles an hour and turned it off. I undid the valve cover thinking my timing chain job may have broken again, but its tight as can be with no give...HOWEVER i have green coolant mixed in with the oil around the valves. (no oil in the coolant resevoir) Is this a blown headgasket, rod, faulty water pump? I'm stumped and need a sense of direction prior to attempting to fix!
THank you again

Thank you, I forgot to mention the knocking noise was coming from low on the driver side, that's what has me thinking rod too...until i saw all the coolant in the crankcase.....Is my luck that awesome that I blew a rod and head gasket at the same time...lol
I did replace the timing chain cover as well when I did the chain as it was eating through the wall...annoying really, as the truck only has 93,000 original miles!
